ERG Law offers advice and representation in civil and commercial disputes,
including contract matters, damage claims, and business disputes in Puerto Rico.
An initial consultation helps organize the facts and evaluate documents, the
matter's stage, and potentially appropriate next steps. A general service
description does not predict a dispute's outcome.
Before a lawsuit or during an existing case
Explain whether there is an informal claim, a communication from another party,
a filed lawsuit, or an ongoing case. Bring complete communications: an isolated
page may omit important context. If you received a notice, identify when and how
it arrived and retain the complete document. Applicable deadlines require
individual assessment; this page does not establish filing or response deadlines.
Useful consultation questions
- What happened, in what order, and who participated?
- Which obligation or conduct is disputed?
- Which documents support each important point?
- What stage has the matter reached and what communications have arrived?
- What further information does the firm need to evaluate its scope?
Documents to organize
Prepare a short chronology, contracts and amendments, correspondence, available
notices or court papers, and records related to damages or payments you want to
explain. Identify originals and copies. Preserve existing files without modifying
them and note which documents are still missing.
Do not include confidential case details in the public form. A general
description and the information needed to arrange the consultation are sufficient
for initial contact.
Requesting guidance
Request an initial consultation and indicate whether the matter involves a
contract, damage claim, or business dispute. Conflict review and a formal agreement
are separate steps from submitting the form. Team profiles, preparation resources,
and office directions help prepare for the meeting without replacing individual
legal advice.
